ISDN is simply another protocol for transmitting information which may be used either for voice, video, or data transmission and which is often used for Internet access. Like a normal analog telephone or modem, ISDN uses a pair of the same copper lines that are currently connected to your office phone or computer. ISDN has long been the European standard and has been chosen by China Telecom as the national standard for China.
For example: for a minimal fee, the Telephone Bureau can install a new ISDN line or convert existing analog lines to ISDN, giving the user a 128 kbps data line (two 64k channels). Two or more 128 kbps lines can also be bonded together to better support video and other higher data speed requirements.
China Telecom also offers a 30 channel PRI option for larger organizations. ISDN not only delivers increased capacity but also a number of useful function such as hunting groups, call forwarding, and caller ID which are not commonly available in analog lines.

TBN offers Beijing & Shanghai home users a fast, reliable ISDN dial-up solution, with the added benefits of dedicated bandwidth and international uplink selection. Our service offers superior stability compared with many China access providers, and our first-rate support service gives peace of mind to our customers.
